Dr. Shekinah Banson is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University, her Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology from University of Maryland University College, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
She is currently completing her PGY-1 residency at Johns Hopkins Care at Home while pursuing her MBA at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Her professional interests include addiction medicine, home infusion, and infectious disease with a passion for improving access to care and supporting patients beyond traditional healthcare settings.
Outside of pharmacy, Dr. Banson enjoys leading community outreach and education, journaling, roller-skating, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
